1. What EraserMagic is

EraserMagic is a free, browser-based AI editing tool that removes unwanted objects, watermarks, text, people, stamps and logos from images, multi-page PDFs and videos.

We built it for photographers, designers, marketers, students and small businesses — people who need the job done now, without installing software, signing up for a trial, or working out which of a dozen plans they need.

2. How it works

The short version:

1. Upload

You select an image, a multi-page PDF or a video from your device. Nothing leaves your browser until you start a job.

2. Mark

You brush over, box or lasso whatever should disappear — a watermark across a stock photo, a stranger in the background of a holiday shot, a date stamp burnt into a frame, a logo on a product image.

3. Reconstruct

Our inpainting models rebuild the covered region from the surrounding pixels rather than simply blurring it, so the result reads as an unbroken scene instead of a patch.

4. Download

The finished file is returned to your browser. Both the source and the output are deleted from our servers automatically — we are not a storage service and we do not keep a library of your work.

3. Who we build for

Photographers, designers, marketers, students and small businesses — and specifically the ones who arrive with a task, not a project. Most people who land here have one file and one problem. The measure of whether we did our job is whether they leave with it solved in under a minute.

That principle decides most of our design arguments. No account wall in front of the core tools. No watermark on your output. No queue you can pay to skip. No dark pattern that turns a free download into a subscription.

4. Our editorial standards

Alongside the product we publish a blog covering AI media editing and the work our users actually do. Because that content sits next to advertising, it is worth being explicit about how it is made.

  • Editorial independence. Advertisers and advertising networks have no input into what we publish, how we rank anything, or what we recommend. No advertiser has ever been given sight of an article before publication.
  • Separation of advertising and editorial. Sponsored placements and recommendation units are supplied by third-party networks and are visually distinct from our own writing. We do not publish paid articles disguised as editorial.
  • Corrections. If we get something wrong, we correct the article and say what changed rather than quietly editing it. Tell us at support@erasermagic.com.
  • Not professional advice. Our articles are general information. They are not legal, financial, medical or other professional advice — see our Terms and Conditions.

5. How we pay for this

Being straightforward about this matters more than it used to, so:

Advertising

The tools are free and have no account wall, so advertising is what pays for the servers, the GPU time and the bandwidth. We work with third-party advertising and content recommendation networks, including Taboola.

What those networks collect, and how to opt out of personalised advertising, is set out in our Privacy Policy. Opting out does not cost you access to anything here.

What we do not do: we do not sell your personal information for money, we do not use your uploaded files to train machine learning models, and we do not keep your files after processing them.

6. Where we stand on privacy

Two commitments underpin everything else:

  • We are not a storage service. Files you submit are processed and then deleted automatically — normally within minutes, and in every case within 24 hours. We do not keep a library of your work.
  • We do not train on your content. Your files are not added to any training corpus, ours or anyone else's.

The full detail — what we collect, who else sees it, how long it lives and what you can require us to do about it — is in our Privacy Policy.

7. Get in touch

We read everything that comes in. Bug reports and feature requests genuinely do change what we build next.
